    Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Training & Readiness < Back DAVID DETZ Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Training & Readiness David (Dave) Detz is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Valiant’s Global Training & Readiness (GT&R) business line. Since joining Valiant in 2019, Dave has held positions of increasing responsibility from Program Manager to Senior Program Director to his current role as Vice President. As the Vice President of GT&R, Dave is responsible for more than 40 programs supporting the United States Department of Defense, its allied partners, and other international organizations in service areas including ground and aviation training, simulation, and readiness; advanced logistics and sustainment; Intelligence and analysis support; defense threat reduction; and contingency and stability operations. Dave has successfully led the Army’s Joint Readiness and Training Center (JRTC) Mission Support Contract for the past 14 years. Under his leadership, JRTC is recognized by the U.S. Army leadership as a world-class training program. Prior to his work at JRTC, Dave served 23 years in the United States Army. He held multiple leadership positions including Battalion Commander, Executive Officer, Operations Officer, and Platoon Leader. Dave holds a Master of Science degree in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University and an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Edinboro University. In addition, his professional credentials include Certified Program Manager Professional, Certified Safety Professional, and a Six Sigma Green Belt. Dave and his wife April reside in Louisiana and have two children and four grandchildren.
