Next Exec™ is a prestigious learning program at Valiant that focuses on developing our future executives and senior leaders. The program places a strong emphasis on exploring self-awareness through various assessments, including 360 reviews. By gaining a deeper understanding of their strengths, and areas for improvement, participants are equipped to create individual learning plans that will enable their professional growth. Each cohort receives unique opportunities to network and collaborate with senior level executives, mentors, and other Valiant leaders.  

 

Through enterprise project management, candidates can gain valuable experience working on cross-functional teams and driving impactful projects. Additionally, Next Exec™ candidates will define their individual leadership philosophy through internal and external leadership courses and book discussions. This comprehensive approach to leadership development helps ensure that Next Exec™ candidates have the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed in senior leadership roles and drive Valiant's continued success in the future. 

PM Training Program and Community of Excellence 

The PM Training Program and Community of Excellence is a comprehensive learning initiative at Valiant that is specifically designed to provide project managers and deputy project managers with the latest information on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and best practices for project management. The program is developed in collaboration with Valiant’s Business Line Leaders (BLLs) and is intended for leaders from across the enterprise who have P&L responsibility and/or direct program leadership duties.  

 

The program covers a wide range of topics, including project planning and execution, risk management, financial management, stakeholder management, and more. Each presentation is delivered by subject matter experts and recorded for later viewing on Valiant University, allowing other team members to access the content at their convenience. Additionally, the program includes a Community of Excellence, where project managers and deputy project managers can connect, collaborate, and share best practices with each other. This approach to project management training and development helps ensure that Valiant's project management community has the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to drive project success and contribute to the organization's overall mission and objectives. 

Leadership Mastermind 

Leadership Mastermind is a nine-month long course that aims to develop and enhance leadership skills among a select group of leaders each year. The program is designed to provide these employees with relevant and timely leadership and management topics through a monthly virtual group discussion format. This approach allows participants to experience diversity of thought and perspectives, increase their leadership and management knowledge, and build new relationships with other Valiant leaders.  

 

Valiant’s Leadership Mastermind program is a unique opportunity for participants to engage in meaningful discussions, learn from each other, and gain valuable insights and strategies to help them become more effective leaders. By bringing together a diverse group of leaders, the program creates a collaborative and supportive environment that fosters learning and growth. Through Leadership Mastermind, Valiant is investing in the development of its leaders, and helping them to build the soft skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their roles and drive success. 

Goal Setting and Performance Management 

Goal setting and performance management are critical components of leading a team at Valiant, helping leaders set clear expectations for their team members and deliver excellence to our customers. The goal-setting process involves defining specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals that are mission-driven and align with our enterprise objectives.  

 

By setting SMART goals, leaders can create a shared vision for their team and ensure that everyone is working towards the same objectives. Performance management involves monitoring progress towards these goals, providing continuous feedback and coaching, and recognizing and rewarding high performance. This process helps leaders identify areas where team members can improve and provide support and resources to help them achieve their goals in real-time. By implementing effective goal setting and performance management practices, leaders can create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, where team members are motivated to perform at their best and contribute to the organization's success.

Valiant University 

Valiant University is our innovative online learning platform that provides learners with high-quality educational content in a flexible and convenient format. The platform offers a wide range of courses and programs across various fields, including ethics and compliance, leadership development, skill building, and more. Valiant University's courses are designed by subject matter experts who have extensive industry experience and expertise. Learners have the flexibility to choose when and where they study and can access the platform from any device with an internet connection.  

 

The platform features interactive learning tools and resources, such as videos, quizzes, and other engaging content to keep learners engaged and motivated. Valiant University also provides learners with personalized support and guidance from support staff in People Resources. The platform's mission is to empower learners with the knowledge and skills they need to advance their careers and achieve their goals. With Valiant University, learners can gain valuable skills and credentials that can help them continue to grow. 

Valiant Manager Essentials 

Valiant’s Manager Essentials presentation is offered upon request to help new teams and managers learn the policies and procedures relevant to a manager at Valiant. Led by our People Resources Business Partners, this training walks leaders through each step of the employee lifecycle and their pertinent tools and processes. From hiring and on-boarding to employee development and retention, this is a helpful guide for our managers.  

Valiant Leadership Forum 

Valiant’s leadership forum is a gathering of top leaders from across the company and world, aimed at providing a platform for them to share insights, experiences, and best practices. The forum is organized around a specific theme or topic and is designed to foster meaningful conversations and collaboration among attendees.  

 

Our forums often feature keynote speakers, enterprise goals and initiatives, panel discussions, workshops, training, networking opportunities, and awards. The goal of the annual leadership forum is to help leaders broaden their perspectives, learn from others, and gain new knowledge and skills that they can apply in their own departments. By bringing together leaders from diverse backgrounds and industries, Valiant’s annual leadership forum can spark new ideas, encourage innovation, and ultimately help shape the future of our company. 

About our Leadership Development Programs 

Valiant offers a wide range of leadership development programs to help employees develop their knowledge, skills, and ability as a leader.  

 

Our leadership programs offer different instructional methods to complement individual learning styles and potentials.
