Brooks’ last position with The Boeing Company was Vice President, Enterprise Subsidiary Integration, Government Operations in Washington, D.C. where he was responsible for optimizing enterprise integration of Boeing subsidiaries, joint ventures, and investment partners. Prior to this, he was Vice President of Defense, Space and Security, liaising with the Pentagon, NASA, and the Department of Homeland Security, and Vice President of Army Systems. Prior to Boeing, Brooks served in the U.S. Army for 27 years, commanding units including a Brigade in the 82nd Airborne Division and serving as Deputy Commanding General of 1st Armored Division in Germany, Commandant of Cadets at the United States Military Academy, and Vice Director of the Army Staff, Office of the Chief of Staff, in the Pentagon. Brooks holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma. He is a Senior Fellow of the Syracuse University, Maxwell School of Government, National Security Studies Program, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from the New England School of Law-Boston. Brooks is currently on the Board of Directors of the District of Columbia College Access Program and America’s Public Television Stations, as well as the Chairman of the Awards Committee on the Advisory Board of the Association of the U.S. Army and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
