This is the fourth task order awarded to Valiant under the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Training Support Services (MTSS) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ). “As a leader in training and readiness solutions, Valiant is proud to sustain our decades-long training support partnership with the U.S. Marine Corps,” said Tammy Schmidt, Vice President of Global Training and Readiness at Valiant. “This award will allow us to continue to meet our customer’s virtual training needs with a set of innovative solutions that will result in the refined development of enhanced marksmanship skills for our Marines.” Under this task order, Valiant will provide system operations, data for training feedback, new ASALT training scenarios, and sustained operational readiness. Throughout his career at Valiant, Dan has driven operational excellence and supported mission-critical programs worldwide. Before rejoining Valiant, Daniel, as Chief Operating Officer of Acuity International, led business transformation, strategy development, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management. In that role, he supported a diverse customer base across the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as a broad portfolio of federal agencies, state governments, and commercial entities, delivering healthcare services, engineering and construction support, base operations, security services, and environmental programs. “Dan is a proven leader with deep operational experience and a relentless focus on mission success,” said Mike Devoto, Board member of Valiant Integrated Services. On this contract, Valiant will help DTRA perform assessments, exercises, and modeling and simulation support (AEMSS) tasks. Valiant will also perform training, mission rehearsal, and countermeasures assessments designed to counter weapons of mass destruction threats and boost chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense. General Counsel < Back BILL BLOCKER General Counsel William (Bill) Blocker, General Counsel and Secretary of Valiant, is responsible for Valiant’s legal affairs and compliance team, including serving as counsel to its senior leadership. Bill joined Valiant in 2018 as an associate counsel. Prior to Valiant, Bill was the Deputy General Counsel for the State Health Office of the Florida Department of Health. Prior to that he was the Medicaid Finance and Health Systems Chief Counsel at the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). He joined AHCA after serving 6 years as an Assistant State Attorney in the Second Judicial District of Florida. He spent four years on active duty as a U.S. Marine in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Since then, he has been active in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He was also attached as a Sergeant to Royal Marines Reserve Bristol, UK. Bill has a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Florida State University College of Law, a Master of Strategic Studies from the US Army War College, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill). Bill lives in Reston with his wife Shannon.
