General Manager - Training & Readiness
With over 35 years of experience, Hector Alvarez serves as General Manager and Senior Vice President of the Training and Readiness business unit at Valiant Integrated Services. Hector oversees Valiant’s delivery of cost-effective, mission-critical solutions to government agencies, including the Department of Defense, the intelligence community, and key multinational partners.
Before joining Valiant, Hector was Vice President and General Manager of the U.S. Special Operations Command’s Global Sustainment Support Services business for Lockheed Martin Corporation. This role included leading the overall strategy development and implementation for a line of business with $1B in revenue. In this capacity, he was responsible for leading the execution of a diverse portfolio of programs for USSOCOM to include Fixed Wing and Rotary Aviation Repair, Modification and Systems Integration, Communications and Ground Systems Repair and Modifications, Manufacturing, and Logistics Automation Integration for Special Operations Forces around the world.
Before this position, Hector served as Vice President of Operations for PAE (a Lockheed Martin Company), a global organization of nearly 6,000 employees providing global logistics and stability operations support around the globe. Before that, Hector held different Program Management, Capture Management, and Systems Engineering positions of increasing responsibility at Lockheed Martin, Hughes Aircraft Company, and General Electric Company.
Mr. Alvarez graduated from the University of Southern Illinois-Carbondale and the Florida Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree and a master’s degree in Management. He is also a graduate of several Lockheed Martin Executive Leadership Programs.
